The Comox Valley Regional District’s new water treatment plant was constructed by AECON as a Design-Build project. Once the plant is complete and commissioned it will comply with the Province of British Columbia’s water treatment objectives and overall water quality guidelines.
Mequipco Ltd was pleased to support AECON with a number of process equipment packages, including an inclined plate settler and sludge scraper system, which is part of the media filter backwash water treatment process. The system was commissioned in the summer of 2021.
