The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) oversees the Mesachie Lake water system on Vancouver Island, BC. The water system had an old epoxy coated bolted steel reservoir that was at the end of its useful life, and needed to be replaced. The CVRD approached Mequipco Ltd. to help support the design and budgeting of a replacement reservoir.
Mequipco Ltd. is the Western Canadian representative of Greatario Engineered Storage, Canada’s leading supplier and installer of bolted glass-fused-to-steel tanks.
After a competitive tendering process, Greatario was selected to execute this design-build project.
Working collaboratively with CVRD staff, the reservoir design was finalized, the tank was fabricated, shipped and constructed by Greatario’s certified building crews.
Mequipco Ltd. is proud to have been part of this important infrastructure project, the reservoir will serve the community of Mesachie Lake for decades to come.
